Why build habits with other people
Most people who quit a habit do not quit loudly. They skip a day, then two, and nobody notices. A friend who can see your progress changes that: skipping now has a small social cost, and showing up has a small social reward. That is the idea behind an accountability partner app, and it is why groups and challenges are central in Jeevan.

How to find an accountability partner
- Start with one person you already trust, such as a friend, a sibling or a colleague.
- Pick the same habit or the same challenge, so you are doing it together rather than watching each other.
- Agree on a check-in, even just a message when you have finished for the day.
- Be kind about misses. The aim is to make showing up easier, not to shame each other.
What friends can see
Your public profile shows your name, username, points and streak to other signed-in Jeevan users, and friends can also see their chats with you. Your habits, notes, alarms and history are not shown to friends. You can block anyone. See the privacy policy for the full list.
Ideas for habits to do together
- A gym buddy challenge: both of you log 45 minutes, three times a week.
- A study group with a shared two-hour block each day.
- A family water challenge, beating the 3 liter goal.
- A running streak with a friend in another city, tracked on the same leaderboard.
