The 10-minute weekly review for your habits

Tracking tells you what happened. A weekly review tells you what to do next.

Updated 3 November 2026 · 5 minute read

When and how

Pick a fixed time, such as Sunday evening, and set a reminder. Open your history and answer five questions.

The five questions

  1. What went well? Which habits did I complete on every scheduled day?
  2. What did I miss most? Which habit, and which day?
  3. Why? Time, energy, cue or goal too big?
  4. What is one change? A different time, a smaller minimum or a new cue.
  5. What is my focus next week? One habit to protect.

Rules for a good review

  • Keep it under ten minutes.
  • Change one thing at a time.
  • Be kind. You are fixing a plan, not judging yourself.
  • Celebrate completed weeks, not only perfect ones.

Using Jeevan

Open History to see how each habit went and which days you missed. If a day keeps failing, remove it from the habit's days or move the alarm.

Frequently asked questions

How do I do a weekly habit review?

Look at your history and ask what went well, what you missed, why, and what one change you will make next week.

How long should a weekly review take?

About ten minutes. Longer reviews tend to be skipped.

What should I change after a bad week?

Usually the plan, not you: a smaller goal, a different time or a clearer cue.

Do I need an app for it?

No, but a tracker with history makes patterns easy to see.
