Step 1: choose three habits at most
Pick habits you actually want, written as a specific action: "walk 20 minutes", not "be healthy". Three habits are enough to begin.
Step 2: set the days
Decide which days each habit applies to. Add rest days now so a Sunday never counts as a miss. In Jeevan you choose the weekdays for every habit.
Step 3: add one alarm per habit
Choose a fixed time that follows an existing routine, as in habit stacking. A time-based alarm for each habit tells you what to do without thinking.
Step 4: write the minimum
For each habit, decide the smallest version that still counts, such as five minutes. This protects your streak on bad days.
Step 5: use the streak properly
- Log the habit when you finish, not at night from memory.
- Use the streak as a signal, not a punishment.
- If you miss, do the smallest version on the next scheduled day.
Step 6: add accountability
- Join one of the public challenges that matches a habit.
- Add one friend and agree to do the same habit.
- Start a small group of three to five if you want a regular check-in.
Step 7: review every week
Spend five minutes on History. Which habit did you miss, and why? Change one thing: the time, the minimum or the cue.
Your 15-minute checklist
- Three habits written as actions
- Days chosen, including rest days
- One alarm per habit
- A minimum for each
- One challenge or friend
- A weekly review reminder
