What is a community habit tracker?
A community habit tracker is a habit app with social features: friends, groups, challenges, chat or leaderboards. You still track your own habits, but other people can see that you showed up, and you can see them.
Why it helps
- Accountability. Someone can notice if you stop, which makes skipping a little harder.
- Social proof. Seeing others do the same thing makes it feel normal and possible.
- Shared goals. A leaderboard or group result gives each day more meaning.
- Encouragement. A message after a missed day can bring you back.
What good community features look like
- Optional sharing. You choose what others see.
- Small groups. Three to five people keep everyone visible.
- Fair rankings. Leaderboards based on days completed reward consistency, not just intensity.
- Safety tools. Blocking, leaving groups and deleting your account.
- A real habit tracker underneath. The social layer should not replace alarms and a daily checklist.
How it works in Jeevan
You can add friends by username, chat with them, and join five public challenges (5 AM Club, Gym Rats, Gurus, Runners for Life and Drink Water) with a members list, chat and leaderboard. Invite links let friends join a challenge or group in a tap. Your habits, notes, alarms and history are not shown to friends. Read more on tracking habits with friends.
How to start a habit group
- Choose one shared habit, such as a 30-minute walk.
- Invite three to five people you trust.
- Agree on the minimum that counts and a time to log by.
- Celebrate full weeks, and message anyone who drops out.
